Rentals Delivered Free to the Ship

The heavy boots that are an essential item for Arctic & Greenland expedition travelers are often a one-time purchase and add inconvenience, environmental waste and expense to travel. Waterproof pants are also essential and trekking poles provide stability while ashore.


Damage Deposit

  • Damage Fee will be applied to the credit card used to rent boots, waterproof pants and/or trekking poles. If any of the gear is not returned or returned damaged the following rates apply: Boots: US$100, Pants: US$60, Poles: US$70

    • Rentals Cancellation Policy

    • Cancellation prior to 30 days before embarkation date: full refund
    • Cancellation after 30 days prior to embarkation date: No rental refund.
    • Gear Ordered by not used: No refund for any / all rental items after they have been delivered to the ship, even if thay have not been used/unopened/returned to staff: no rental refund.
    • Trip Interruption/Cancellation: On sailings where your trip is cancelked or interrupted by the cruise company:rental fees not refunded.
    • If your trip is interrupted or cancelled for any reason after the order by deadline, we highly encourage that you contact your travel insurance provider to recover the rental fees.


      • About Knee-High Rental Boots

      Though essential for wading in icy waters during Zodiac landings, the proper boots are bulky and weigh between 4.5 lbs / 2.5 kgs to 6 pounds / 2.73 kgs. By renting boots, you are guaranteed to have the best boot to stay warm and dry while gaining space in your luggage. Our comfortable, insulated boots are essential for expeditions that include landings. They are flexible, durable and comfort rated to - 40 F / -40 C so your feet stay warm.

      Rest assured, all boots are sanitized after each rental using products that have been proven to work in U.S. high-end ski resort rentals.


      About Waterproof Pants and Trekking Poles

      Waterproof pants are also essential to stay warm and dry during Zodiac rides. Our rental pants are waterproof, breathable and the pants leg is cut wide enough to fit over boots.

      Trekking poles offer stability while walking ashore but are often awkward to pack in luggage and/or to carry on Zodiac rides if they don’t collapse. Our rental trekking poles collapse down to 25.6 in / 65 cm.
